Want an easier way to show of your memorable photos and easily be reminded of your events or things to do. Or just need some creativeness in your house. Try out this fun project that only takes an hour and is super cheap.

What you need:

  • Photos
  • Clips (can use anything to hang photos, I used Foldback clips)
  • Removable Hooks (can use nails or screws)
  • String, Wool, Ribbon
  • Superglue (optional)

  1. Decide on your design. I went for the simple zigzag, but there are many you can do.
  2. Place dots with a pencil where you are going to place the hooks. I used removable hooks in case I needed to change anything and I didn’t really want to put holes in my wall.
  3. Place your hooks, nails or screws. With the removable hooks I had, I found that the pads where you put the hooks on were not sticky enough and I figured the hooks would probably fall of if I put something heavy on. Therefore I decided to put some superglue to the hooks to connect them to the pads. This gives a nice strong hold.
  4. Attach the string. On the first hook I circled around the hook a few times, so it wouldn’t slip of. After that I simple circled around the rest of the hooks and made the zigzag pattern I wanted.

– Make sure when you’re putting on the string you make it as tight as possible as the photos will bring the string down, making it looser.

– Leave a tail of string at the end in case you want to change your display around.

– To decorate you might want to put ribbon around your string.

– You can hang photos, memos, notes, invitations and stuff.

– Have fun with it and make it your own.

Easy DIY: Messages

So last week my close friend came up to me and gave me this ultra cute and simple message and I just adore it so much. It is simply cute and a great way to tell someone you love them. I love how it’s such a small and simple thing but can still show you care.

The message doesn’t have to be ‘I love you’, it could be ‘Happy Birthday’ or ‘I hate you’ no matter what, it’s easy to make and can be used for any occasion.

So for how to make it;

1. Take a peg
2. Measure out a piece of paper fitting for your peg.
3. Write your message on it and fold it in half horizontally so the message can fold when the peg closes.
4. Just simply tape/blu-tack/glue the message in.

I told you it was easy! I hope you have fun with this one and be creative!

DIY: Exfoliating and Moisturising Facemask

Simple, easy face mask with everyday ingredients.

  • Depending on the batch size, mine lasted 3 applications, mix 1tbs of Honey, juice of half a lemon and 2tbs of sugar.
  • You can use any sugar you want and how much depending on how much you want to exfoliate. Add more or less sugar depending on how much exfoliation you want.

The sugar crystals help remove dead skin cells, leaving a smooth face. The honey helps tighten and moisturize your skin and the lemon helps discoloration, clogged pores and blackheads.

  • After all of the ingredients are mixed dampen your face with warm water and apply to your face and rub gently to exfoliate for 5 minutes.
  • Leave mask on for 10-15 minutes or until you can’t move your face.
  • Wash off with warm water and then give your face a quick rinse in cold water to close up your pores.

This will leave your face smooth and soft. Enjoy!

  • For the fellow people with extremely dry skin you can add natural yogurt or milk to the mixture and apply. This will help moisturize.
  • Apply a moisturizer after to keep your skin moisturized.
  • Can use several times a week.
  • If using a lot of sugar to exfoliate make sure you are not being rough on your skin. A good exfoliation should only be once a week, not daily.
